MarcelIf we have an asset that we enjoy, it actually is part of us.
Therefore, if we have any debts, our creditors do not own our asset, they actually own us.
Let me repeat: If we have any debts, our creditors do not own our asset, they actually own us.
Our creditors own the time, effort, and work we spend in the future to pay the debt for that asset that is a part of our lives.
We use assets.
They benefit our lives.
If a creditor repossesses an asset, they take part of our life with them.
A car is not just a car, for we retain memories of the children and people we spent time with in that car.
Same is true of a house.
That house is emotionally connected to our family and friends.
For human beings, debt is not an option to even consider for a moment, unless we believe that slavery is the optimal way of living.
I don’t think that way.
Our lives should not belong to a creditor.
We need to see ourselves as living debt free.
We need to work to get our lives back.
We don’t want anyone to own us, do we? It’s not our assets they own.
They own us.
