SonnyLucy how many people are in your family? Your rent looks high to me. We have about $1000 less a month in income from you and pay half of what you pay for your rent to our mortgage. I don’t know where you live though and I know that makes a big difference. Other than that your amounts look pretty similar to mine with the exception of spending money. We only budget about $80 a month for both of us. The only “extra” we have right now is XM radio that I budget $20 per month on. I too dropped my 401K as my company stopped the match. We took a 10% pay cut and I was contributing 8% so that kind of made up my pay cut in my check. Kim

MilesI like the idea of 1% allowance minusfines for chores not done.
I’m still working on the commission idea of Dave’s.
Could your internet be less expensive? Seems a little high to me.
We have At&t with wireless for the whole house for half that.
Not sure what CoV WoW is.
I’m guessing that is entertainment? You don’t need cable with Hulu.com.
Medical? Looks pretty good! Music is the universal language-Learn it.

MohammadNot really sure where you can trim. Everything seems pretty minimal. What is the difference between the Entertainment and Wow/CoV categories? The water seems a bit high but that is comparing with rates in my area, of course. Our water runs around $35 a month.

EzequielOurs averages only $35 too and it turns out we pay maybe $10 for water and the rest is sewer.
Ugh! But we’re in Michigan in a very rural area so I’m not surprised that its cheaper here.
If your not paying for cable then I see nothing wrong with the amount you pay each month for WOW and the other one.
Your right about keeping the natives happy! I have to do that too! God Bless! Jolene I wish it could be only $35 – how do you manage that? I think sewer itself is about theOctober 26, 2013 at 6:33 am
